When you install/remove Avira Antivirus and display warning error: "Setup has detected an already installed version of Avira Antivir Personal - Free Antivirus. Please uninstall this version before starting setup again.[Errorcode:23]"

Please following steps to fix this problem:
1. Download RegCleaner at: http://dl.antivir.de/down/windows/registrycleaner_en.zip
2. Extract that file, and running it.
3. Click Scan for keys button, Check option Select All, and then click Delete button.
4. Restart the computer.
5. Install Avira Antivirus Again.

At first it did not work, then I went into safe mode and followed your directions again. Worked like a charm. Thanks so much, it was driving me crazy.
